The Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics deals with restoration of teeth to reproduce esthetics & function; it also deals with smile designing, esthetic dentistry including bleaching of teeth.
Endodontics is a branch which deals with root canal treatment and periapical surgeries

| Dr. Vyapaka Pallavi had bagged the best paper award in the 9th National Federation of Operative Dentistry of India and Indian Endodontic Society post graduate students convention held in Goa from the 16th to18th of May 2008. |

| The paper titled “Management of traumatized teeth with crown fracture and complicated crown root fracture – a case report” won 2nd best paper among 169 papers presented at the conference. She was guided by Prof. (Dr). Mithra. N. Hegde , Head of the department and Dr. Shishir Shetty, Reader, Department of Conservative and Endodontics, A.B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Deralakatte, Mangalore. |
