The Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology is the cornerstone of the art of clinical dentistry. Functionally, it is concerned with the science of diagnosis and quiet strategically, is the very first department any patient crosses through in our institution.

At the A.B.Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology was established in the year 1987, involving undergraduate teaching and in the year 1991 , it became a post graduate department.
