His perpetual dream for a better world triggered off a social revolution in Dakshina Kannada. His dream was made a reality when in 1979 the Nitte Education Trust was founded at a small village called Nitte, transforming it into an ultimate abode of learning, for students from all over the country and abroad.
What then began as dream project is today a monumental reality, encompassing under its ever widening gamut of activity, many educational institutions that embrace activities as wide ranging as basic and professional education, healthcare, rural development and a whole range of welfare activities aimed at touching the lives of the poor, irrespective of caste, creed or other discrimination.
