The Women's day celebrations were held on the 8th of March, 2008 at the K.S.Hegde Auditorium. The function began with the invocation followed by a welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Amitha Ramesh, the Chairperson of the Women's Forum. The Women's forum logo was released thereafter. The events for the day included a Guest lecture on 'Women's legal rights' by Mrs. Asha Nayak, Advocate and interclass competitions of salad dressing (leaf treat) and ethnic extravaganza (theme- Sarees) which were judged by Dr. Bharathi Nirmal, Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. The programme also included dance and singing by the students. Prof. (Dr.) Rajendra Prasad, Principal and Dean and Prof. (Dr.) Sridhar Shetty, Director, CADSS spoke on the occasion. Dr. Darshana Devadiga, Secretary of the Women's Forum delivered the Vote of thanks. The function was attended by all the members of the institution.
